My first post after 4 months.

Life in 2010 as everyone knows is gonna be a long ride for me. Am currently interning at a pets magazine and doing part time school at the same time. Money is a problem

I do not yearn for branded bags but i can't let go of shopping for new clothes and my usual grooming. The latter itself comes up to hundreds per month and a few I've stopped doing. It is so hard to prioritise in this aspect. So so hard. To me, they are a NECESSITY, not WANTS. Sighs

I don't like it when my Dad gives me some $ when he knows I am rather broke.

I don't like to be dependent when I'm already 24.

However, I appreciate and am thankful for that extra cash.

Appreciate B. helping me whenever he can, giving me hugs whenever i ask for it - thats the warmest thing I've ever felt and will never get tired of

But I've no one to blame. I made my own choices and here I am.

All I have to do is to focus and move on.

For 2009, I am thankful of the friends I still have, new ones I've met, the companion I have for the past 4 years and my family whos all healthy.

May it be the same + more exciting this new year.

Was skeptical when i saw the comment, "next Rhianna".. but im hooked. Quirky touch in 'Free'. Mixture of pop and r&b in 'This Is A Raid". However, the beginning of 'Hummingbird' reminds me of Colbie Caillat.. a little twist can be found, but the resemblance is there. Upon hearing it on repeat mode thrice, i realised a few tracks can get kinda annoying as her voice has that jagged tone that is rather not pleasing. Also, she reminds me of some pop/r&b/rock artist that i have yet to put some names to it. Neverthless, overall an unpredictable mix of songs that surpringsly falls well together.

I woke up from a nightmare. I was screaming at the top of my lungs at 2 group of people at a dinner. My husband had betrayed me and i got suspicious when he sent to get soup for another woman! Apparently we were betrothed, and he loved that woman since day 1. he even told that woman repeatedly! i felt like a fool. All my relatives and friends knew. Even my father-in-law, whom i apologised before I left. i was very angry. the feeling is so strong even after i woke up, i had to pen it right away in case it dispersed the minute i stepped out of the house.

i know the cause of this dream probably comes from the quarrel i had with Mr Lee yesterday. Even then, betrayal was a terrible feeling, even if it was ONLY a dream! It felt so REAL. It should never happen to anyone but yet, it could be happening every single min while I'm typing this.

since i blogged. as in literally type out words. oh wells, life hasnt been interesting enough for me to pen into words. So all that remains is for me to post interesting articles i chanced upon everyday. hmmm, here i go:

Facing another mid-life work crisis. I realised, being-the-happy-go-lucky-no-long term-goals person, i am ALWAYS rather lost when standing at the crossroad of finding the 'right' job. That said, i keep asking myself: What is it that i really want? Is it like what Ezann said, i have to see that theres no perfect job. There are bound to have the bad and goods. (which i tend to forget when Im stuck in a shitty one)

6 more months to where my contract ends. And frankly, i cant wait. Typical of me, you must be thinking. Yeah. my sentiments. But seriously, how can ANYONE do what im doing for years or rest of her life?!!

Job scope (in a blunt way)
- Buy coffee/food for guests
- TONS of photocopying/printing
- Scheduling of meetings for bosses (includes alot of time waste calling many people)
- Arrange logistics for events/meetings
- Meet vendors occasionally to get quotes for office supplies
- Process invoices a few times every month
- Misc stuff: getting keys for rooms, replacing company posters, checking if phone line works, stockup of pantry supplies (rolling ma eyes)

Ok, to sum it up, im just a coffee/admin busgal cum events assistant. I do have perks such as really low period, where i can take my time and relax. I admit, no job pays you this well and allows you to do nothing much and knock off on time.

But still, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?

SIGH. this post came up cos I am feeling pretty emotional after a potential client called me this morning to enquire about DM Rocket. A product I used to sell when i was at SingPost. And i eventually found the correct person whos in charge and pass Richard the contact. For that few mins, i actually MISSED having my own clients. doing account servicing... and not THIS.

However said, i of cos couldnt stand the micro managing, thats why i left.
And its much much worse here actually, on another aspect. Hm, lets do a comparison of the 3 jobs i had should we?

alright, getting a little lengthy. To be continue tomorrow..

Okay. Im lying when i say i dont miss him.
Ok. i do. I thought I was oh-so-carefree when i was in KL June
but that only lasted for 1 day. i started missing him after.

People are so attached to one another after being 'TOGETHER' for so long that it is almost like this 2 person are 1 whole person. and if they were to be put apart, it would seem or feel unnatural. God. I am suddenly realising this and it feels so weird coming from me.

The novels is a must read anyway! Kristen Steward was gorgeous as 'Bella'. Awesome pair. Acting was kinda cheesy. very teen love story. w/o the edge i was looking for in a vampire.. but guess the love was the focus. still great

这句话除了头大的部份，对我来说好像不是很准确。不过，接下来的还真是妙。

双子座是崇尚自由的一群，不喜欢被约束，对周遭事物都有强烈的好奇心。

Yesterday marks my last day at Singapore Post.

I realised Im gonna really miss my team-mates and my beloved messy work place. Perhaps this is the longest job i had and i was tearing up while catching up with them yesterday.

Alas, it was really warm-heartening to receive emails from my clients with regards to my departure. Clients like SAS & Cycle & Carriage were the most concerned and it was an unexpected gesture. I even had a good talk with Angela (SAAB).. below is a snapshot of an email i received this morning. I am very flattered and comforted by her words.

I know what i truly enjoy. To service people. But what else other than sales & airlines can i do? A flash of thought to go back to sales. But on a split second, sadly, i dont think i can do sales anymore. The competitve nature and fakish people is something i dont ~~want to deal with~~ care about. Why do i have to portray as someone i'm not and put on a show just to work peacefully in a company? Bullocks. It is not my thing. (OK, some might say it is not the same everywhere. But sales is what it is isn't it?)

Account servicing in an advertising agency is one i do not want to go back to. yet. after a year. I then realised why i hadnt stayed long in both jobs. Because in nature, Im not someone who enjoy working in a fast paced, no-moment-to-breathe enviroment for long. Although, i can shout out that Im used to the working pace now. That i would find desk job boring. But to work in that kinda environment is not a long term plan for me. I can't be happy that way.

I want to do something where i can still stop and smell the after-rain-air, enjoy the small little things, walk around singapore in my comfy havianas and stay true to people around me and myself. Not to be constricted by the corporate rules/regulations and culture. maybe i can call this, the bohemien working lifestyle.

Moving forward would be to learn more about my passion - WRITING

i cross my fingers.

bought another pair of heels from C&K !!!
its a lovely shade of grey suede and that oh-so-famous half capped tip in patent black. to add on the cuteness, theres 2 tiny bows that makes up the whole prettayee look. Im currently on a shoe craze these days. gets super alert when i see a potential and extreme high when it fits good, makes my legs look loooooong, then the 'ching' goes and that pair is yours in that paper carrier.

waiting for my 2 pairs of GOJANE + 1 UO woven flats to arrive and im gonna do a shoe spread for my beginner shoe collectors' shoot. shld also start throwing out those that has to retire..

Aim to build up a whole shoe collection where i can alternate them w/o having one go so dirty the cats keep sniffing it. -.-
